Maintenance Passport
The Maintenance Passport is a four-hour induction covering the health and safety hazards affecting everyone carrying out programmed and one-off facilities maintenance activities. The aim of the induction is to ensure Maintenance Workers fully understand their responsibilities and the importance of meeting them.
Why adopt the Passport?
Clients and Principals use the services of Contractors to undertake programmed or one-off maintenance activities. Hospitals, schools and universities, rental housing companies, government departments, supermarkets, manufacturers, local authorities and the like, regularly contract Tradespeople to carry-out maintenance on their properties.
The Passport system is used by Clients, Principals, Employers and others controlling workplaces as a risk management tool. Passport inductions are a practicable step that helps to ensure that all Workers have a basic understanding of their health and safety responsibilities. More importantly, the Site Safe Maintenance Passport helps to reduce accidents and injuries to both Employees and the general public.
