As of 26 April 2012, ACC will accept the following Site Safe
courses as an equivalent training standard (level) for
acceptance into the Workplace Safety Discount (WSD)
programme;
- Advanced Passport
- Supervisor Gold Card
- Supervisor Gold Card update
ACC are keen to promote Site Safe training that better targets the use of Site Specific Safety Plans (SSSP’s). ACC are aware the Canterbury Rebuild Safety prequalifying requirements for site safety planning and have adapted the WSD programme to accept Site Safe equivalent training.
This means that we will not continue offer the Workplace Safety Discount training course.
Once training has been completed, those wishing to apply for the Workplace Safety Discount must complete and forward an application to the ACC Product Support team in the usual manner.
The current entry criteria into WSD is that the applicant has the appropriate experience or training in implementing health and safety procedures. ACC requires evidence to support the application ie; Site Safe training course completion certificate, or policy and process documentation.
