Site Safe Elevates Construction Safety Training with Revamped Behavioural Module
02 Jun 2025
Site Safe is proud to announce a significant update to the behavioural module, a core component of its popular Passport Plus suite of courses and other key safety training programmes. Set to launch in classroom format from June 2025, this revision reflects Site Safe’s ongoing commitment to providing cutting-edge, relevant, and highly effective health and safety education for the construction industry.
The revamped two-hour module has been meticulously redesigned to address the evolving landscape of workplace safety. Learners will benefit from new health and safety topics and scenarios that directly mirror current industry challenges, ensuring the content is both practical and impactful. A fresh visual design, including new AI-generated avatars, will further enhance learner engagement.
A key teaching shift is the introduction of integrated assessments. The Review of Understanding (ROU) will now be completed progressively as learners engage with each concept, rather than as a single test at the module's conclusion. This "assessment as learning" approach fosters deeper comprehension and immediate reinforcement of critical safety behaviours. To ensure thorough understanding, a 100% pass mark is now required for the ROU, with assessments featuring more robust four-answer multiple-choice questions.
Furthermore, trainers will now have access to six distinct packages of module content, allowing for varied delivery and reducing repetition for frequent attendees. This update underscores Site Safe’s dedication to equipping New Zealand’s construction workforce with the knowledge and understanding to foster a proactive and positive health and safety culture on every site. The updated module will initially roll out for classroom-based courses, with webinar updates to follow.
