New Health and Safety Qualifications
09 Mar 2017
The creation of a new suite of health and safety qualifications is an opportunity for Site Safe to review its programme of study, says Chief Executive Alison Molloy.
In November 2016, a new range of health and safety certificates was listed on the New Zealand Qualification Framework.
Site Safe is working through the implications for the Certificate in Construction Site Safety, which Site Safe currently offers in partnership with Unitec.
Site Safe has several years to complete any transition arrangements and there is no immediate impact on trainees or graduates.
For graduates who already hold the Certificate in Construction Site Safety, this will remain a valid NZQA-recognised qualification.
Site Safe Chief Executive Alison Molloy says the changes are an opportunity for Site Safe and we are committed to offering formal qualification options to the industry.
“We are dedicated to constantly improving our service and making sure our training is what the industry wantsand will be working with industry to make certain our programme continues to offer relevant and accessible pathways.”
More details will released throughout the year.
Site Safe remains a NZQA-registered category one private training establishment.
See the NZQA website for more information on the qualification review process.
