Women Champion Safety
10 Feb 2017
Site Safe is proud to support the inaugural Women in Construction Champions of Safety event.
Organised by Canterbury Rebuild Safety Charter and Safe Rebuild, this first-ever safety-focused training and networking day for women will be held on International Women’s Day – March 8 – at the Bridge Club in Christchurch.
This free event will feature a presentation from an inspirational speaker, Sarah O’Connell, the Managing Director of health and safety solutions provider TriEx. Prior to running her own business, Sarah was a business coach and is a mother of two.
There will also be a panel discussion featuring Site Safe Chief Executive Alison Molloy, followed by a training session and discussion in the afternoon.
The event will wind up with bubbles, spot prizes and networking in the evening.
This day promises to be a highlight for anyone interested in celebrating the role of women in the industry and is open to both site-based and office workers.
As this event is now sold out, a second event will be held on March 29 at the same venue.
This event is proudly supported by:
Site Safe, Safe Rebuild, TriEx, Registered Master Builders, BCITO and Civil Contractors New Zealand, NZCB (New Zealand Certified Builders Association), Specialist Trade Contractors Federation, and NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction).
