About the NZ Safety Council

The New Zealand Safety Council Trust is a non-profit member organisation for safety practitioners, professionals and organisations. They volunteer their time to advocate on behalf of members, industry safety concerns and the public in all sorts of places.

Members receive advice on career paths, how to become a Registered Safety Professional (RSP), and are kept up to date on the latest work they do via newsletters, meetings and social media.

Site Safe graduate offer

All 2023, 2024 and 2025 Site Safe HSCP graduates are entitled to a free year of New Zealand Safety Council membership. This will allow you to:

Attend optional site tours
Hear from Safety professionals in various industries
Learn about becoming a Registered Safety Professional
Learn how to join the HASANZ Register
Get advice on study and advancing in the Safety profession
Members may get involved in groups / projects to improve safety in industry and for New Zealand

How to take up this offer

Sign-up and apply to be a member once logged in (a $0.00 invoice on completion of the application form with your welcome pack, no payment is required)
Provide Site Safe graduate name and Site Safe number on the application.

Terms and conditions

Site Safe Grads can join at any time (once the grad status has been added to their account / Site Safe card)
12-months free membership starts from the day they sign up
Members may cancel their membership at any time if they wish
Membership is non-transferable (to another person) and not equivalent to cash rebate if cancelled.
