Renew your Site Safety Card

What you'll learn

You will learn how to:

• Keep yourself healthy and safe onsite.
• Recognise what roles influence the actions or workers.
• Make health and safety positive through conversation.

This course includes a 2-hour webinar and access to 2 online modules (Each module takes approximately 30 minutes to complete).

Choose any 2 modules:

• Introduction to Task Analysis: Provides essential knowledge on managing site-specific tasks safely.
• Introduction to Asbestos Awareness: Identify health risks, locations, and actions to take.
• Introduction to Noise: Understand hearing damage, legal obligations, and high-risk equipment.
• Introduction to Safe Work on sites: Learn about fatigue, drugs & alcohol, stress, and hazard identification.
• Introduction to Manual Handling: Recognise potential injuries, control methods, and harm reduction strategies.
• Introduction to Mobile Plant and Equipment: Identify risks when working with or near mobile equipment (focuses on hazard identification, training, and site planning).
• Introduction to Electrical Safety: Understand electrical dangers and how to stay safe around electricity (basic awareness).
• Consultant Modules:
  • Introduction to Health and Safety Legislation
  • Introduction to Safety by Design.

Plus Webinar Session (2 Hours):

You will learn how to:

• Identify the behaviours and actions that contribute to a positive health and safety culture in the workplace.

At the end of the course, you'll complete a Review of Understanding. This is a set of multiple-choice questions that check your understanding of the key concepts learned during the course.

Once you pass, you will be issued a digital Site Safety Card, valid for 2 years.

What you'll get

On completion of the course requirements, you’ll receive:

• A Site Safety Card, valid for 2 years. Most major New Zealand contractors require workers to have a valid Site Safety Card before entering a construction site.
• 4 Licensed Building Practitioner points.

Webinar technical requirements

Minimum requirements for the best webinar learning experience:

• A good level of digital literacy.
• Use a PC, laptop or tablet (not a mobile phone).
• Use one of the following recommended browsers and operating systems:
• Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Microsoft Edge browser
• Windows 8.1, 10, or 11 Macs need to be at least on Ventura (13.77) operating systems

To complete this course, you need to be able to read and understand English.

If you miss the course

If you don't attend a course you're signed up for, we will notify the person who purchased the course. They will not be entitled to a refund.

Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel or change a booking 5 working days before the start of the course. If you cancel more than 5 days before the start of the course, you will receive a credit on your account to be used within 12 months, or you (or your employer, if they paid for the course) can request a refund:

Within 5 working days of the course starting, you can transfer your seat to another person from the same company. If you cancel, you or your employer will not get a refund.

Changes and cancellations can be made through your account, or through your employer if they booked you on the course.

Can I renew my Site Safety Card online?

Yes. You complete the webinar and the two modules online.

How long does Passport Plus Flexi take?

You attend a two-hour webinar and complete two modules of about 20 minutes each.

What if no webinar date works for me?

Join a waitlist by selecting request a course under Book Course in the Business Portal or on the Course Calendar.

Can I pay after the course?

Prepayment is required, even with a purchase order number, unless we've approved credit for your account. Contact us and we'll send you a credit application form.

Can I choose my trainer?

Trainers can change at short notice, so we don't advertise courses by trainer.
