Renew your Site Safety Card
Your passport to safety
Site Safety Cards show that you’re committed to being safe on site. We have over 20 courses that can extend your safety knowledge and keep your card up to date.
How to renew your Site Safety Card
Every two years, you'll need to complete one of our eligible foundation, intermediate, technical or leadership courses to renew your Site Safety Card.
If you've completed a foundation-level Passport course, consider one of our intermediate Passport Plus courses when you're ready to renew. It's the same time and money investment, but with a great opportunity to grow your knowledge in specific areas.
There are four options:
- Passport Plus - Height [4 hours, in-classroom]
- Passport Plus - Worker Health [4 hours, in-classroom]
- Passport Plus - Tools and Plant [4 hours, in-classroom]
- Passport Plus - Flexi [4 hours, online/webinar]
Our technical courses are for learners already in the industry. They cover technical knowledge and skills, including electrical, first aid, safety harness systems, fall arrest systems, site-specific safety planning, and how to be health and safety representatives.
Renew your Site Safety Card by completing any one of:
- First Aid in Construction Safety
- Health and Safety Representative
- Mental Health First Aid in Construction
- Safety Harness Systems
- Advanced Safety Harness Systems
- Registered Electrical Workers
- Site-Specific Safety Planning
Note: If you need to refresh your skills in working at heights and renew your card, you can take the Safety Harness Systems course. If you supervise others working at height you can opt for the Advanced Harness Systems course. Alternatively, you can choose another Site Safe course to renew your card if you do not need to refresh your working at height skills.
Our leadership courses are for learners who are responsible for onsite leadership, supervision, or those managing a team. They cover theoretical and practical topics including supervising workers, leading safety onsite, and accident investigation.
Renew your Site Safety Card by completing any one of these courses:
If you're graduate of our Health and Safety in Construction Programme (HSCP), you can renew your graduate Site Safety Card by attending the Continued Professional Development (CPD) Forum.
Our half-day forum renews your Site Safety Card, keeps you up to date with the latest health and safety information, and connects you with other graduates.
As part of our partnering agreement with Vertical Horizonz, you can renew your Site Safety Card by completing one of these full VHNZ courses:
- Confined Space & Gas Testing (2-day).
- Low Level Scaffolding (2-day).
- Mobile Elevated Working Platform (MEWP) (1-day).
Important: Attending a VHNZ refresher course does not renew your Site Safety Card.
