Safety Advisor - Dunedin

Safety Advisor - Dunedin

We’re looking for an experienced health and safety professional, with a passion for helping businesses become safer.   

As one of our Safety Advisors you’ll be working alongside companies in the construction industry helping them embed health and safety behaviour and systems that make a difference.  This will involve getting out and about connecting with industry to build relationships and promote Site Safe in the Dunedin region.  You’ll also be facilitating classroom and online training sessions, undertaking on-site Health and Safety Site Reviews (audits) and providing health and safety consulting services.   

We’re looking for an experienced health and safety professional.  Ideally this will be backed up with a Health and Safety and/or Adult Education qualification.  Knowledge of construction, or similar, industries would also be an advantage.   

In return for your skills, experience, and great attitude, we’ll offer ongoing training and professional development and some great benefits like health and life insurance.  A vehicle will be provided for work-related travel, as this will be part of the role.   

This role is part of the Southern Regional team based in Christchurch and is the sole role in our Dunedin Office.  Therefore, the role requires someone who is resourceful, flexible and enjoys working independently.

Independent Contractor - Health & Safety Electrical Training - North

We’re looking for a registered electrician or electrical inspector to deliver our Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) competency courses on an ad hoc basis in the Northern region (Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty).   

Our EWRB courses are one day classroom style training.  We need someone to deliver this training up to 2-3 times per month and travel will be involved. We are flexible on location and employment arrangement (ie: contracting or employment).

Site Safe is a not-for-profit, membership organisation providing education and health and safety services to improve safety in the construction industry. 

If you’re an electrician or inspector who enjoys interaction with lots of different people and have a sound understanding of health and safety, we’d love to hear from you,

We’re looking for registered electricians / electrical inspectors to deliver our Registered Electrical Worker Board (EWRB) competency courses on an ad hoc basis.  Our EWRB courses are one day classroom style training.  We’re looking for someone for the South Island to deliver this training up to 2-3 times per month.  This will be up to 8 times for the months of May and June. Travel will be involved.
