Planning and Performance Coordinator

Site Safe is a not-for-profit membership organisation committed to creating a culture of safety in the New Zealand construction and related industries, so everyone goes home healthy and safe at the end of each day. We offer a wide range of products and services and work with businesses to raise the bar in health and safety performance.

Due to an internal promotion, our Planning and Performance team are looking for a new Coordinator to assist them in supporting projects and key programmes of work across the business.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Helping to keep the team and projects on track and holding them to account.
  • Capturing and managing actions and decisions.
  • Summarising meetings back to relevant stakeholders.
  • Update project management processes and tools.
  • Help projects review their plans regularly to ensure tasks and milestones are being achieved in a timely manner.
  • Review governance and project status reports.
  • Assist with presentations, agendas and meetings for projects and business planning.
  • Be aware of programme and project activities and status and actively identify any risks or issues.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in project coordination or a similar role where you can demonstrate your coordination skills.
  • The ability to work with a range of systems and technologies including Microsoft applications.
  • Experience in supporting multiple managers or stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • The ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Great time management with the ability and drive to see tasks through to completion.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Safety Advisor - Christchurch

We are seeking a Safety Advisor for our Southern (Christchurch based) team. This is a permanent, full-time role; however we are open to discussing part time options.

As one of our Safety Advisors you’ll be working alongside companies in the construction industry helping them embed health and safety behaviour and systems that make a difference. This will involve undertaking on-site Health and Safety Site Reviews (audits) and providing health and safety consulting services.  You’ll be identifying areas of risk, providing feedback and suggesting workable solutions. You’ll also facilitate classroom and online training sessions to help improve behavioural awareness of health and safety.    

We’re looking for a qualified Health and Safety professional, with substantial health and safety consulting and auditing experience and, ideally, HASANZ registration. An Adult Education qualification would be an advantage, as would knowledge of construction, or similar, industries.

In return for your skills, experience, and great attitude, we’ll offer ongoing training and professional development and some great benefits like health and life insurance. A vehicle will be provided for work-related travel, as this will be integral to the role.

We’re looking for a qualified health and safety professional with the passion and experience in facilitating training.  Ideally this will be backed up with a health and safety qualification, HASANZ registration and an Adult Education qualification.  Knowledge of construction, or similar, industries would be an advantage.
