Safety Advisor

Join us in building a safer construction industry through education and training!

  • Training focus
  • Encouraging behavioural change in safety
  • Based in Onehunga, covering greater Auckland

We’re looking for an experienced safety professional with a passion for facilitating training.

Site Safe is a not-for-profit, membership organisation providing education and health and safety services and resources to improve on-site safety.  We help develop future Health & Safety leaders, give advice to businesses on solutions that make a real difference and ensure that everyone goes home safe at the end of each day.

As a Safety Advisor you’ll primarily be facilitating interactive and engaging training sessions to help improve behavioural awareness of health and safety.  You’ll also undertake on-site audits and work with companies to embed health and safety behaviour and systems.

Our training is focused on behavioural change and awareness, so while an understanding of Health and Safety legislation is necessary, training and facilitation experience, interpersonal communication and a passion for developing others are key!

Ideally this will be backed up with both an Adult Education and a Health and Safety qualification, or you’ll be working towards these.  If you’re not there yet, but have the motivation and positive attitude, we’ll help you get there.  You’ll also need knowledge of the construction (or similar) industries, and membership with NZISM would be an advantage.

If facilitating and getting the best out of groups of learners, using your knowledge and expertise, sounds like you, we want to hear from you!
